Salmon Nation Artist Project, A Great Night!

On Friday November 6th, regional poets and songwriters from the SNAP project, and special guests, performed at Artichoke Music in Portland Oregon. Wahoo! We had a great time, and wow was it inspiring. Special guest Amy Harwood a member of BARK, a Mt. Hood non-profit watchdog and advocacy group, gave us a brief run-down on the work her organization does on behalf of the health of the bio-region. We applaud you Amy!
I spent Saturday am reading Moe's "Second Set Out" and listening to Jon Broderick and Jay Speakman's "Miles Away" album. Salmon Nation Artist Project 'et al' is an extension of my heart in the world. It means so much to have all of you in one room. It makes a difference, keep going. Never lay the music, art, poetry down.
The above photos on this blog were taken by Patrick Dixon, www.DixonMarinePhotography.com they are amazing photographs of the evening....
Thank you all for being there!
best,
