Alexa Wiley and Dave Densmore to perform at Redmen Hall/River Life Interpretive Center

Alexa Wiley, regional singer and song-writer, and Dave Densmore, well-known fisher poet, will perform at Redmen Hall/River Life Interpretive Center to raise funds for Friends of Skamokawa. Their performance, “For Love of Fish,” will be on Saturday, November 13th, from 7:00-9:00 pm.

The concert is offered in conjunction with a photography
exhibit by David Myers, formerly of Eden Valley, and Judy Vandermaten of Cathlamet. Both photographers will speak about their exhibit at the concert and the audience will have the
opportunity to view their photographs following the concert and visit with the artists.

Wiley and Densmore think of our region as Salmon Nation. They love fish and the river, and celebrate that “this bioregion depends upon the returning of salmon to the water sheds.” Densmore has fished commercially since the age of 12 and is an eloquent voice for fish and fishers. Wiley developed and co-produced with 30 artists the “Salmon Nation Artists Project” two years ago.

Densmore and Wiley performed at Redmen Hall last year to an enthusiastic full audience, so it is advised to reserve your tickets in advance. Tickets will be $10 for adults, $7 for seniors and students, and $5 for those 12 and under. They may be purchased at the door or reserved by calling Redmen Hall, 360-795-3007 or email friendsofskamokawa@gmail.com.
